The Indiana Law Enforcement Memorial is dedicated to honoring all of our state’s fallen officers from the first in 1824 to our most recent. As our website grows to become fully developed, each of the over 430 law enforcement officers will be remembered through a memorial detailing their personal stories and the incidents in which they made the ultimate sacrifice for the citizens of Indiana.
An advanced search capability has been created to access specifics of every line of duty death that has occurred within Indiana. The most comprehensive database available to be focused solely on Indiana line of duty deaths has been compiled and maintained for accuracy. Additional features will be offered to include expanded statistical information and to conduct research into officer deaths from the past to determine eligibility.
Our memorial will include every law enforcement officer who has been killed in the line of duty representing an agency in our state as well as any federal or railroad law enforcement officer whose incident has occurred in Indiana. The criteria used for inclusion on our memorial will be those standards established by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund to determine an eligible line of duty death.
